The CLINICAL ANALYZER is built with precision bearings, balanced flywheels & rollers and welded waterjet cut aluminum plate or 3/4" HDPE . It is equipped with high resolution optical encoders and a USB DAQ interface. Clinicians may conveniently evaluate patient propulsion and performance in personal wheelchairs through customized NI LabVIEW software. Researchers may also perform their own data analysis on multiple 10kHz data streams collected into spreadsheet format. It will be available for sale following a joint UT and VA research study. The device frame has been tested as an outpatient recreational device at TIRR in Houston, TX and the San Antonio VA SCI clinic.
